Volunteers provide food 24/7 to anyone that wants it, with the kitchen providing this on an industrial scale. Later, we visited the Wagah border and there was lots of hot air generated during the day! Went to the Golden Temple this morning, but before that we were shown where the Amritsar massacre occured at Jalianwala Bagh in 1919; a shocking and unforgivable time in British history. However, seeing the Golden Temple #GoldenTemple, even in the drizzle, was a magnificent sight. What was amazing was the fact that Volunteers provide food 24/7 to anyone that wants it, with the kitchen providing this on an industrial scale. Later, we went to the Wagah border #WagahBorder closing ceremony at the Indian / Pakistan border. Only the day before, we had seen on TV the repatriation of the Indian airman Abhinandan Varthaman, so it was sureal actually to be there. The ceremony is amazing, with probably 5000 plus watching. Despite it raining, we thought is was a fantasic spectical.
