Another lovely day, so after a knock about on the tennis court between Keith and Alex, we head to the beach to stroll along it into town. We notice that there is a headland path and take this, that skirts the beach and intersects the magnificent rainforest. We catch some lovely views as the path rises up along the cliff, then heads back down to the shore. We end up at the top end of town near the harbour and a wonderful old church. Further along we spot a sailing club, Tin Shed, with a bar that overlooked the harbour. After an on-the-spot day membership sign-in, we find a table that gave a fantastic view of the horizon. On offer were these amazing local tiger prawns and we devoured 700g of them pretty quickly. We stayed until sunset, then headed back to the apartment, stopping off to play a few games of pool at the Rattle and Hum.

The next day, an early start as we have a tour with Quicksilver to the Great Barrier Reef. We catch the early boat from the harbour and arrive at a floating activity platform that is moored at Agincourt Reef. Alex does some scuba diving, whilst Diane and Keith see the reef by a semi-submersible vessel. We all then do some snorkling. Alex and Diane take a fantastic trip in a helicopter to view the Reef from the sky. They say it was incredible to see the coral beneath the emerald waters. After a few hours there and a bit of decent lunch, it's time to return back. It's been a great day; the reef had some interesting coral, but, for us, still not as good as the Caribbean and Egypt. Unfortunately, just goes to show how much of the reef has been destroyed by man. We end the day with a beer at a bar overlooking the beach to, once again, see the sun set. Another great day.
