Well, here we are in Hong Kong. Checked into the Intercontinental, which is a fabulous hotel. Staff are very helpful. We have already sorted a tour of the island and met Stephen at Statue Square. We then spent the next 3.5 hours on a wonderful walk, that encompassed markets, historic buildings, events, daily living, religious buildings and community squares. To see fishmongers discect a fish where they can sell the flesh but leave the body with heart still beating is something we will not forget!

The next day we decided to go up to Victoria Peak - probably not a good idea. Too busy with other tourists and when we got to the summit, a nice view of the city but that was about it. Too much trying to sell pretty rubbish tourist tat! Best thing we did was to have an impromptu beer in a corner bar that doubled up as an Italian restuarant - so we had a wonderful pizza that was hand made and baked in a copper pizza oven. Was fantastic!

Later had a great massage in what looked like a dubious parlour, but was absolutely genuine and so chilling (and cheap). Now off to China - but we will come back here again in the future.
