Udaipur moments

We toured the substantial City Palace which dominates the lake. Full of history, it was yet another delightful experience. However, the visit to the city gardens was probably a more memorable time, as it was the local population who were there, on a Sunday, families just enjoying the tranquility of the gardens and many fountains. Quite lovely, in fact. A quick boat ride around the lakje, where we saw men washing themselves and women doing their laundry. Then back to the amazing hotel, to sit round the pool, soaking up the sun's rays. Later, we were treated to some dancing by two ladies, who somehow could spin with pots on thier heads! Tomorrow, back to Delhi and then on to Nepal.
